JOB SUMMARY:
A leading design studio in London is seeking a business development manager to join their team. Known for their multi-layered approach to narrative-driven craftsmanship, the studio’s work spans fine art, design objects, and the creation of new materials. They collaborate with clients such as (U)HNWI, interior designers, brands, and public bodies on public commissions
Their work can be found in iconic super-prime real estate, yachts, public spaces, and galleries globally. With everything handcrafted and designed in London by a highly talented team, the studio has been operating for 20 years and is now looking to expand its business.
TASKS:
The business development manager will play a pivotal role in driving sales within the architecture and design (A&D) community, promoting a range of products crafted by the London design team. This role involves actively seeking new leads, building relationships, and nurturing existing clients. It’s a warm opportunity with a great brand and product to promote.
You will be responsible for contributing to the studio’s sales target, developing strategies, understanding trends, and keeping a pulse on where the market is headed. The aim is to demonstrate tangible growth over the next 5 years, improving workflow and collaborating closely with the leadership team.
This role will involve close collaboration with design teams, craftsmen, and the founders to ensure success. Salesforce is used to monitor and track sales information.
YOUR REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years in a sales or business development management role, ideally in the A&D community.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with a proven track record of professional success.
Proven ability to plan and strategize sales activities.
Experience in presenting, influencing, and building new and existing networks.
Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines.
Additional Information:
The role is both strategic and hands-on, reporting to the Head of Business Development.
Strong communication is key, as you’ll be collaborating with artists, designers, craftsmen, and business managers.
This is a 4/5-day office-based role, with occasional overseas travel required.
