JOB SUMMARY:

A growing, dynamic architectural practice is seeking an Architectural Assistant/Part II with 2+ years of post-qualification experience to join their talented team. Specializing in high-end, bespoke private residential projects across central London and the Home Counties, the practice offers a unique opportunity to work within a small, entrepreneurial team that values autonomy and initiative.

The team is a talented and energetic group committed to boutique, elegant design, and they carefully select project partners from a trusted network of professionals and craftspeople. Responsibilities:

  • Support the design process and contribute to project development from initial sketch designs to technical delivery

  • Support the management client relationships and communicate effectively throughout the project

  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal team members

  • Work the project through all phases, from design to construction, ensuring quality and attention to detail

  • Prepare technical drawings, schedules, and specifications, and ensure compliance with UK building regulations

  • Contribute to the growth and evolution of a young, ambitious practice

Ideal Candidate:

  • Architectural Assistant/Part II 2+ years in this role or taking Part III

  • Strong design portfolio, showcasing high-end residential architecture

  • Proficient in MicroStation and experienced in managing small teams

  • Excellent technical knowledge, including construction techniques and UK building regulations

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail

  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with clients and team members

  • Must have the right to work in the UK

This is an exciting opportunity to join a young, ambitious practice at a pivotal time in its growth. The office fosters a collaborative, supportive culture with regular team trips. You will have the responsibility to manage projects, take the lead, and be in a client-facing position.

This role is well-suited for architects who are confident, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates who enjoy taking ownership rather than being heavily guided will excel in this role, benefiting from the studio’s culture and rapid career progression opportunities.
