Project Manager, client side/owner operator

East London
SALARY: £75,000 - £90,000

Curio has been retained by an owner operator to appoint a project manager to join the client-side. The role will manage the construction stage of phase 3, a 40,000 sqm extension to an existing commercial, mixed-use building in London.

JOB SUMMARY:

The role will proactively manage and deliver the construction phases of the project to ensure that it is delivered seamlessly alongside the work of the ‘business as usual’ operational teams employed to deliver ongoing events. Enabling works started in March 2022 and construction will start in August 2022 until quarter 3, 2024. This role is project specific until the completion of the project.

The project manager will report to the facilities director and phase 3 executive (c-suite) team. The project manager will attend all relevant weekly phase 3 workstream meetings and provide regular progress update reports to the phase 3 executive team. In addition, the project manager will attend all relevant meetings with the main contractor and/or external appointed project managers.

The role will cover pre-construction phase, planning management, construction phases, budget management and project management and communications. Profiles must have demonstrable strong communication and engagement skills, given the wide range of stakeholders involved. The role holder will be committed to the life of the project from initial works to finished construction and beyond.

Candidates will be from a pure project management consultancy or client-side background or be a qualified architect and have significant built and construction delivery experience of commercial, mixed-use buildings.
