A residential developer based in West London who are looking to appoint an interior architect for their studio

JOB SUMMARY:

This is an opportunity for an associate to join a residential developer based in West London who is looking to appoint an architect, interior architect or interior designer for their studio. They are seeing an increased surge in work globally for 2023 and are developing their studio team requiring a mid or senior hire - a new role to the office. Successful candidates will be those who have a portfolio of design-led, high-end residential and want to carve their career in this area.

The studio is split between traditional architecture and development. The developer has their own interiors and architecture design team. It’s a career-defining opportunity for architects who want to step into development without leaving all the design behind and working on ‘the other side’.

TASKS:

This is a rounded opportunity to have involvement in the design, leading a junior team and leading your own projects. The associate reports to a leadership team of two. The team have a range of existing prestigious and famous projects from multi-million refurbishments on Grade I/II listed and new build. These are currently international locations working for developers or HNWIs.

The client is looking for an architect/interior design leader who wants to dedicate their time and energy to design excellence. Ideally, profiles who have existing high-end residential experience are preferred, and who have an affinity and passion for this niche sector. The team are dedicated to designing best-in-class interiors. The studio has grown considerably and requires a hands-on lead that can guide, mentor and empower. The role is flexible and open to how much time the successful person chooses to be on the drawing board, and happy to detail when required.

YOUR REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:

  • Architecture/Interior Architecture or Interior Degree (BA)

  • Portfolio demonstrating design excellence in high-end residential projects

  • Experience leading teams

  • Confident pitching and presenting schemes to clients

  • Confident juggling consultant teams

  • Experience across all RIBA stages of a project

  • Ideally have experience over £1million project values

  • Knowledge of FF+E

    Studio is based in West London

    Profile should be able to commit to 4 days working in the office.
