Work alongside architects to ensure the success of projects
JOB SUMMARY:
This is an opportunity to come in at the start working under the director of operations to create best practice across architectural projects which include, residential, healthcare, science and technology – complex and community focused schemes with a build value of upwards of £50-100 million. The practice already has processes in place, the new PM team will improve and introduce new ways of working suiting someone who wants to use their experience to add value to teams and projects.
TASKS:
The primary responsibility for the project manager is demonstrating leadership in collaboration with Project Principal and Project Designer in both the relationship with a specific client, and the success of the project, as measured in client satisfaction, quality of work, profitability of work, and well-being of both the firm and project team. Administers all phases of project through construction including budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, construction documents with authority to direct and monitor all activities.
YOUR REQUIREMENTS:
5 years+ post qualification experience at least 3 years in an architecture project management position preferably within a design practice.
Advanced knowledge of project design process, construction documentation, programming, space planning furniture specifications and materials and finishes
Understands project financial management and contract administration, including project coordination, budgeting, scheduling and contract negotiations
Experienced in various forms of UK Contracts and Appointments
Basic Revit knowledge
Basic Project Management Software skills
Ability to direct, mentor and coordinate work efforts of project team
Strong interpersonal skills, verbal, listening and written including client presentation skills
Collaborative and professional work ethic
Ability to exercise good judgement
