INTERIOR DESIGN STUDIO
The creative lead will be responsible for managing, leading and growing the current team from three to sixteen over the next twelve months.
JOB SUMMARY:
The creative lead will be responsible for managing, leading and growing the current team from three to sixteen over the next twelve months. The role will provide effective leadership and guidance. The successful candidate will nurture their teams’ professional development and will foster a collaborative work environment. The Creative Lead will assume responsibility for the successful execution and delivery of high-end residential projects for one client.
The role will collaborate closely with the team to create captivating and visually stunning interior spaces. The hire will work closely with the studio director and client on delivering a uniquely visionary and eclectic home in a building of historic importance.
TASKS:
The role involves interacting with the client, understanding their vision and communicating it to the design team to create unique and individual rooms. There are no predefined house styles, and the designer will come up with new ideas based on the client’s vision. The main focus is on overseeing the FF&E, interior design, and architecture of the space. Although the project is at a shell and core stage, inputs will still be required to ensure that the interior and exterior blend well, working with external architects who will be managing this. Since the project is Grade I Listed, the focus will be on interior spatial planning, interior architecture, and FF&E.
YOUR REQUIREMENTS:
· Ideally a BA Hons in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or be Part I/II/III qualified
· Experience of working on all RIBA job stages (Concept Design to delivery and implementation)
· Demonstrable experience in large-scale and bespoke super-prime residential or boutique hotel design
· Ability to demonstrate the highest quality design portfolio and range of styles
· In-depth knowledge of suppliers, products, finishes and artwork
· Creative thinking when curating FF&E
· Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and assertively with consultants, contractors and discerning UHNW private clients
· Proficiency in Vectorworks, Photoshop, and InDesign
· Organised, efficient and focused
· Excellent team management and leadership able to inspire, encourage and motivate
· Strong numeracy, project planning and scheduling of projects/finishes
· Flexibility to meet client needs, including out-of-office hours meetings from time to time.
You will be part of a project team designing a once-in-a-lifetime ambitious and bespoke project. The project involves the restoration and refinement of a Grade I Estate of cultural and historical significance. This role is for true creatives who want to push boundaries, explore beyond house styles and be curious about what can be achieved by curating and combining the old and new.
Please note that this job requires designers to be in the office five days each week.
