You will be part of a project team designing a once-in-a-lifetime ambitious and bespoke project.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a skilled interior designer or interior architect, you will be responsible for creating detailed models and renderings to present design concepts to the Clients. You will be working with software such as Vectorworks, Enscape and Twin Motion. You will assist in the preparation of design documentation, including drawing sets, schedules, and specifications. Collaborating with senior designers, you will develop space plans, layouts, and furniture arrangements. Other responsibilities include creating CGI visuals, plans, and elevations, preparing InDesign layouts and presentations, and conducting research to choose appropriate materials, colours, and finishes.

You will be part of a project team designing a once-in-a-lifetime ambitious and bespoke project. The project involves the restoration and refinement of a Grade I Estate of cultural and historical significance. This role is for true creatives who want to push boundaries, explore beyond house styles and be curious about what can be achieved by curating and combining the old and new.

TASKS:

The focus of this role is on interiors, where you will be responsible for curating spaces in a Grade I Listed Building. The shell and core of the building will be completed by external architects. You will need a clear understanding of interior layouts, spatial planning and be able to identify and solve the additional challenges set by a Grade I Listed Building.

Working with your team, you'll generate concepts, mood boards, and prepare presentations. You'll also go on-site and work closely with third parties to ensure the smooth execution of the project.

In addition, you will be responsible for FFE (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) selection, researching and selecting furnishings and lighting fixtures that align with the design concept. You will work with vendors and suppliers to source materials, fixtures, furniture, and equipment, ensuring they meet design specifications and project timelines.

You will also create technical packages for tender, either individually or as part of a team, develop furniture schedules and FF&E packs, and act as a liaison between contractors and suppliers. Attending site meetings when necessary, you will report project updates to the Directors on a regular basis.

YOUR REQUIREMENTS:

·       BA Hons in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or be Part I/II/III qualified

·       Experience with Vectorworks/Enscape and Twin-motion preferred, otherwise candidates must be willing to learn these software packages.

·       The ideal candidate should have knowledge of bespoke residential design and be able to understand complex and unique briefs.

·       The candidate should exhibit meticulous attention to detail and ensure precision in all design documentation and specifications.

·       Additionally, they should contribute to design ideas and solutions to projects and display a willingness to learn and adapt to new design tools and project requirements.

·       The ability to collaborate effectively and communicate well with senior designers, architects, and project managers is paramount.
