Midweight FF&E Designer - Client-side High-End Residential / Hospitality Project
** 12-18 month contract with potential for extension**
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a Grade II* Estate as part of a Family Office for an HNWI. This stunning residence will be transformed into a boutique, flagship hotel, redefining luxury in the UK. The project will be a one-of-a-kind landmark project.
You will be part of a new design team led by two Design Directors, a Lead Architect, and an Architectural Assistant, where you will collaborate on interior concepts and preparation for Planning through to delivering the drawing package ready for construction. You will work through Work Stages 1-4 and be heavily involved in the design development in the latter concept stages.
Collaboration and communication are key, as is a passion for a project of this scale and calibre. You will work closely with the HNWI in the studio on a weekly basis. You will be mentored and supported by four excellent designers; however, you must be ambitious and able to put together FF&E ideas and schedules with minimal supervision. The role will also require CAD skills and the technical ability to draw floor plans and technical packages through Stages 3 & 4.
TASKS:
Mid-weight Interior Designer - 3/4 years post qualification
Detailed Design Experience
Experience with Grade II/II* Listed Buildings (a bonus)
Experience in the hospitality sector or with exquisite properties
Highly IT literate, familiar with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite
AutoCAD (Vectorworks ideal but not essential) for technical packages
Experience working alongside an Interior Design team
Excellent communication skills, including written skills for reports and correspondence
Fluency in spoken and written English
YOUR REQUIREMENTS:
Contribute to and assist in the development of the company's design projects, in conjunction with the Design Directors and Lead Architect
Progress the design with internal and external team members, ensuring quality is maintained throughout
Be an ideas person with demonstrable knowledge of high-end and bespoke FF&E pieces
Draw in AutoCAD or Vectorworks in technical Stages 3 & 4 to support architecture
